ISA International Instrumentation Symposium - UK 2014?

Hi

The group's thoughts on the following would be very useful:

The ISA are interested in holding their annual Instrumentation Symposium in the UK / Europe in 2014 for the first time. Traditionally held in the USA, they are interested in the IET co-delivering the event, if held in the UK.

Your thoughts on the benefit of holding this call for paper symposium in the UK, and, if agreed upon, further input to the technical programme, would be a great help.

Details of this year's event in Cleveland:

    Members,

I think InstMC should agree to act as the IET community to run a joint ISA/IET conference in the UK in 2014.

It would be useful if this could be linked-in with the NPL Measurement Network, the Sensors KTN,the IoP ISAT Group and maybe the Trident Exhibitions Sensors and Instrumentation event so as to gain a maximum focus and attendance.ISA has a membership in the UK and these people no doubt will be invited to participate.

ISA is industrially led and has a lot of experience in running successful events in the States.

Community members in UK------who would be willing to join me in an IET IntMC joint organising committee with the ISA? Please indicate to me  your interest as soon as possible. Barry Jones
