How can we deliver more industry based educational opportunities to young people?

Firstly a big thank you to Simon Mylius, Head of Engineering, Arcola Energy (http://www.arcolaenergy.com/) for stepping in for Dr Ben Todd at the last minute for last night’s presentation focusing on how DC Microgrids have been put to work at the Arcola Theatre.

During the talk Simon highlighted the "Arcola Energy Schools Hydrogen Challenge", in which students are challenged to design, build and race the most fuel efficient hydrogen powered vehicle. 25 schools in London took part earlier this year (https://www.london.gov.uk/media/mayor-press-releases/2015/03/25-schools-compete-at-london-schools-hydrogen-challenge-city), which is a fantastic achievement.  What do you see as being the obstacles in bringing such initiatives to the Swindon area and what ideas do you have for overcoming those?
