Can you help out at the 2015 Royal International Air Tattoo?

This year, the Swindon LN will once again be part of the line-up in the Techno Zone tent at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RAF Fairford, 17-19 July), building LED torches and using the IET’s bespoke displays:

  • Wind turbines

  • How sound travels

  • Video microscope

  • Thermal conductors and insulators

  • Electrical conductors and insulators


Could you help us demonstrate the fun side of Engineering to the young people who visit?



Ideally we would like volunteers who can commit for a half day (or even several days). In return you’ll get free entry to the show for the other half of the day to go and explore the show, network round the other stands etc. The stand has to be manned from before 09:00 until 18:00 but not everyone needs to be there for the duration.
