Amec Foster Wheeler is taking part in celebrating women in engineering day, 23 June 2015, and they are planning a networking event that evening as detailed below;
Aim: The aim is to have an evening where women in engineering share their experience in the industry, share their struggles and how they overcame them, celebrate their triumphs, advise how they got to senior positions to the younger women, and attempt to find somewhat of a solution or coping mechanisms to the stumbling blocks that some women experience in their careers.
They hope this will become a yearly event, where women come together and share their experiences in male dominated industries and positions. Amec FW are trying to make it as informative as possible and different from the traditional “get together, and make friends” groups that already exist.
Venue: The venue is yet to be determined but they are looking for venues in central Reading
