If you regularly travel to India or China - The IET Can offer a different perspective:

The expertise and enthusiasm of our members is our gretest strength. That's why we are calling on those who travel to Asia to help us to extend our research.

If you can deliver a lecture, attend a conference or support our Asia members to host a local event, you could be helping to introduce even more people to the world of engineering and technology. And that's something we'd all like to see.

If this interests you, please contact: globaloperations@theiet.org

This could be a great opportunity for all involved!

I am interested in knowing more about this to get invovled. I have immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong over 20 years ago and the last time I travelled back to Hong Kong was in 2011. I do not travel frequently to Hong Kong for personal or business reason, but am available for travelling when it is necessary. I can speak Cantonese and some Manadrin, and of course English. I have been connected with IET since I was a student. Would I be of any help?.

    Hello Jenny,

Thank you very much for your reply.  This all sounds very impressive to me!

I think that you should definitley e-mail the people at IET Global Operations and get futher information from them.

It would be a great to get women involved in this and it would also provide a good experience for you and all who are involved.

If you need anything further, please let meknow.

    Kind regards,

    Jo Foster

    Hello Jo,

Thank you for the suggestion. I can see communities of different regions. Do you have a pont of contact for global operation?

I believe it is someone in U.K. Your assistance will be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Jenny

    Hi Jenny,

I saw your other message on My Community about not being able to message people who are not contacts.  Kindly note, you can e-mail global operations directly on GlobalOperations@theiet.org.

You do not have to do it through My Community.  I hope this helps.

    Kind regards,

    Jo
