Will you be joining the IET’s new CPD Monitoring Scheme?

The IET has introduced a voluntary (opt-in) CPD monitoring scheme, available to all TMIET, MIET and FIET members. This new scheme aims to enhance CPD support for members through improved guidance and feedback. Find out more by visiting our website.

 

We’ve already had our first few members opt-in to the scheme. We haven’t had any women members join yet – will you be the first?

    I will keep an eye on this, but am waiting until the new Career Manager is up and running.  Whilst I agree on the need and value of CPD, I recognize that I am only going to be able to produce an annual report if I can record items as I go along.  Otherwise to be honest the prospect of trying to sit down and remember everything I have done over the last year is just too daunting!



    Thanks for bring this to our attention though, as I had missed it from other sources.

    Lois, I'm proposing on keeping track of my CPD via a spreadsheet.  Would this work for you in the short term?

    That's an excellent point, Lois, by far the easiest way is to record CPD activities as you go along. In the new Career Manager, we have built a quick launch tool to enable you to record a CPD activity quickly and easily. It’s coming very soon and it will be good to hear your feedback on it.

  • Well ladies, I've already racked up 22 hours of CPD in the new Career Manager. Make sure you're signed up and get using the new tool. It was a little tricky at first and the first one I kept losing the detail as I was pressing the wrong selection but all good by the second attempt....



    Do it now!  The more feedback we give the better.



    Hey, how about making not only the Women's Network the most popular community but Female Engineers the best at recording their CPD!?!
