‘’My name is Lisa Hawkins and I am in the process of setting up a WES Student group at Welbeck College (www.dsfc.ac.uk). We are having our group launch event on 02 October 2015 at 3.30 at Welbeck. The key note speaker for the meeting, Prof. Hainsworth is a Mech Eng (and the Graduate Dean of Leicester University) who recently worked on the Richard III bones. Following the lecture there will be tea and cake (of course) and a chance to chat to some of our current female students
I am not only interested in someone to come along to the launch event but also those who would be willing to attend future meetings to talk to our female students about their careers as female engineers. We plan to meet on a monthly basis from October until April each academic year. I look forward to hearing from you soon.’’
