Court case for equal pay at Dumfries council

Hi everyone, interested to hear thoughts on this court case http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-south-scotland-23045072



 Should classroom assistants be compared to road workers and garbage collectors? I think I'm missing the point a bit as I would have thought that inequality would be if the women weren't allowed to work as road workers and garbage collectors not that they aren't employed on the same contract?
