Some Advice and Support Needed for a Female Engineer

Hello,

I have just received the following request -  from somebody that would like to remain annonymous at this time - We would be grateful to have some volunteers to assist her, informally:

''I would like advice or coaching from a senior electrical engineer who has worked in the power industry for many years.

I graduated in 2006 and since then, I have been a marketing engineer, a power systems/earthing engineer and more recently a substation designer (transmission).

Initially I have really enjoyed these roles however, after a time, I feel that I have not excelled as much as I would like despite my efforts.

My gut feeling is that I would prefer to be working in a more technical or even site-orientated role.  So, I would greatly appreciate if a senior engineer who has had a wealth of experience could perhaps guide me to a more fulfilling path.''

If anybody would be willing to assist, please e-mail me at womensnetwork@theiet.org and I will put you in touch with her.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi Shiva,

Thank you once again for your help with this.  The lady in question would be interested in connecting with your WES contact.  Would you be able to e-mail me at womensnetwork@theiet.org and I can put you in touch with her?

    Kind regards,

    Jo
