Blue plaques for engineers

In October 2012 I put a list of Plaques that have been erected to comemerate engineers in the UK. Since then many members have joined the community who are not UK based.



If you are not in the UK, does such a scheme exist in your Country?

    Aren't blue placques limited to London?  I would have expected most engineers to have made their achievements away from London, both because of the coalfields being elsewhere and to escape from the London bureaucracy.
