Hello,

The IET Women's Network has been contacted by the Senior Publications Officer at the Association for Graduate Careers Advisory Servicesat (AGCAS).  Part of their remit is to provide careers related content aimed at students and graduates that is published on the prospects.ac.uk website. This includes a series of job profiles which highlight the roles that graduates can enter.

AGCAS are currently working on the profile of the following engineering roles:

Electrical engineer
Aerospace engineer
Automotive engineer
Communications engineer
Electronics engineer
Energy engineer
Structural engineer

They are currently looking for relevant case studies to go alongside it. These are to show how people got into the role and what it’s really like.

I wondered if any IET members that are working in these roles would be interested in supplying a case study? Ideally, you need to have graduated within the last five years, to keep your information relevant to students and recent graduates.

The process of completing a case study is straightforward. A set of questions is answered via email and we then AGCAS edit them into the required format. The final version can be approved before it’s published. The provider can have their full name published or they can choose to remain anonymous.

Please e-mail me at womensnetwork@theiet.org if you would like to participate.

Kind regards,

Jo
