women currently in the tech workforce feel disillusioned and alienated in a male-dominated industry.

    As I see it there are multiple aspects to this...  I have at times felt disillusioned, but it is as a result of an apparent lack of promotion or during a spate of redundancies.  This is something that is effecting me not because I am a women though, but because I am member of a particular workforce!



    The only time I have ever felt even slightly alienated, was when I attended a software conference and was part of an audience of predominately male 'geeks', who couldn't even look me in the eye let alone talk to me!  That was a very strange experience, but it didn't make me want to leave my industry.
