Good morning,
I have a great volunteer opportunity that will be taking place on International Women's Day 2016. The details can be found below - Please email me at womensnetwork@theiet.org if you are interested and include a short bio.
The President of the UCL Student Society of Women Engineers (UCLWE) has opened up an opportunity to IET Members.
This year, the President would like to open up the event to all disciplines of engineering and source inspirational speakers from a variety of different backgrounds. Currently they have the support of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and would love to get the IET involved too! So far they have two confirmed speakers: Professor Elena Rodriguez-Falcon, and Professor Dame Julia King.
Earlier in 2015 their event; 'Personal Journeys through Engineering as told by Women in Industry' was a huge success and for 2016 they want to see this event grow further and reach new heights. As a society, they are aware that the event focused solely on chemical engineers and for this year they would like to extend the event to include engineers from all disciplines so the event will be more inclusive and relevant to all of their members.
Here is an example of a previous event that the society held.
