Can Swindon leapfrog the electric car revolution with a jump to hydrogen?

It was fantastic to see announcements regarding the formation of the Swindon Hydrogen Group, with its aims of establishing Swindon as a UK 'Centre of Excellence' for hydrogen technologies and services. There are some big names behind it and a far reaching roadmap, but can Swindon pull it off?

    I've just learnt that the Coventry and Warwickshire Network are hosting an event on Fuel Cell Technology, Tues 19th Nov. Hydrogen storage is of critical concern with regards to vehicles - for instance because of its low ignition energy property! Therefore it looks as if this event could be very interesting and relevant.
