I have received the following request from one of the Content Creators at Scouting Magazine.
I’m looking to write a feature about how the badges and activities offered at Scouts - including the IET Scout Electronics Badge - inspire young people to develop an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths projects. I’m particularly going to look for examples of girls and women with an interest in STEM which has been influenced by Scouting, and who have ended up in STEM careers.
What I’d like some help with is finding a couple of your women members, based in the UK, who have pursued a career in Engineering and Technology, who are currently or previously have been members of the Scouts. I’d like to talk to them about their inspiration, career choices and words of wisdom for young people.
