Hello,

On Saturday 19th of  March 2016 the Royal Air Force Museum, in partnership with Techmaidens are holding an event in honour and celebration of women in technology, science and engineering. The Month of March marks International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.

We are looking for 4 inspirational women to share their stories, motivational speeches, gifts or talents at the RAF Museum London. Speakers will be situated underneath the wings of the magnificent Bristol Beaufighter in their Historic Hangars gallery and will be speaking in front of our visitors and invited guests.

The RAF Museum have contacted the IET to see if any of our members or affilaites would like to be part of the event as one of their inspirational women who would be part of a ‘speed inspiration’ session.

Event details are as follows:

Date:                                                     Saturday 19th of March 2016
Times:                                                  11am – 4pm
Pop up lectures:                                held at various times   (final schedule TBC)
‘Speed inspiration’ sessions:         held at various times   (final schedule TBC)

(‘speed inspiration’ is a chance for their visitors to meet with you for a quick fire round of questions).

It’s that time of year when we can advocate for women and shine a light on the issues that affect them and celebrate their accomplishments and achievements. If you are interested in being part of this event then please do email me  - womensnetwork@theiet.org

Thank you,

Jo
