  • Hi,

For my day job I am the Engineering Manager for Air Traffic Control at Birmingham Airport, my background is electronics.

I found out that I was severely dyslexic when I was 30. I have all of the mental battle scars of growing up being told that I’m not good enough, lazy, being humiliated by being made to read aloud in front of a class and constantly being laughed at because of my written work.

I’ve recently started volunteering as an Enterprise Advisor for a SEND school in Birmingham. As a dyslexic I wanted to work with this school to show the kids that it is possible to achieve your goals even if you have got a learning difficulty.

I’m doing what I can to inform people about the abilities of Dyslexics, the benefits that dyslexics can bring to organisations and trying shake the stigma that dyslexia is a disability.

I joined this group to share Information, to chat with fellow dyslexics and to see if there are any tips or tricks that help you with some of the more challenging aspects of dyslexia.

    Kind regards,

    Paul
