Thank you for your suggestions.  The IET Kent Committee is busy planning our 2014 / 2015 Programme and already have lined up some exciting talks.  We are also proud to have been asked to open the University of Kent 50th anniversary celebrations.  Plus, we are working with Kent & Medway STEM to run a Christmas Lecture in Canterbury and with the University of Greenwich on a SME event.

As you so rightly say “the problem is not finding the ideas for events, but getting someone to organise them”.  IET Kent is always pleased to welcome members wanting to make a difference and help us achieve more.  The time given can be small or large.  However, I am sure you will agree that Volunteering for the IET and giving something back to the Engineering Profession is very rewarding.  It can of course also help with career progression.

The IET Kent Committee will therefore be pleased to hear from any of our members wishing to help.
