Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE), visit feedback

8cd988c6ba889faf2b554cfe9fc9e59b-huge-orionbuilding.jpgFirstly a big thank you to all those at AWE for supporting the visit to their facilities.

Then for all others, did you get to go? What were the highlights (and low lights if any)? Were there any topics not covered that you were hoping to hear about, or questions that have only now come to mind? Would you like to see more such visits being arranged?

If you weren't able to go, what were the reasons e.g. was it too far away? We'd love to hear your feedback to help us plan the most engaging calendar for the 2014/2015 season possible.

Unfortunately the event description wasn’t what the end product ended up being – due to timings and developments between AWE and the LN.  The actual technical & historical presentations were full of relevant information and gave plenty of food for thought filled with actual facts against a historical timeline.  Thinking about our international commitments regarding our nuclear deterrent AWE provides the platform of developing our future engineers & scientists for example – a hidden positive result of keeping our warheads active which is never discussed when the cost of Trident is in the press for example.
