**Real Life Examples Needed**

Hello,

We are looking for volunteers who may be able to help with "real life" examples from companies or individuals who have benefited from some additional training to up-skill or woman returners who have been re-trained.

Background

Following the Perkins Review of Engineering in October 2013, the Government confirmed that it would provide £30m for employers to tackle skills shortages in engineering.  BIS will be rolling this engineering skills Project out through the Employer Ownership Fund from the end of May.

Requirements

BIS would like your help in providing some illustrative examples of scenarios that could illustrate conversion or progression training in industry, eg:

Women who have had engineering or similar experience who have had a career break and may be encouraged to come back into engineering, with some training and support.  It would be particularly helpful to get anonymised real- world scenarios.

If you would like to get involved, please e-mail me at womensnetwork@theiet.org with a couple of paragraphs about yourself.

Thank you,

Jo
