Hello,
I was passed the following from a Samantha Emma Ball; President of Brookes Entrepreneurs
''Dear all,
A development to produce a conference on the subject: "Women Impact on Engineering, Tech and Enterprise" is in planning to take place in later October 2014 in Oxfordshire. This is to be directed within the University of Oxford as well as Oxford Brookes University. Samantha Ball is looking for speakers who will address and show example of professionalism, what can motivate, and the technical skills required for a woman in engineering, tech or enterprise career paths.
The punchline for this conference is as follows:
To inject: mission, motivation and advancement for women in Engineering, Tech and Enterprise
"Women Impact on Engineering, Tech and Enterprise" and will be held at Oxford, within a TBC venue (either Oxford Brookes University or Said Business School) on 18th October 2014. As the past president of Brookes Entrepreneurs, Samantha has had experience with combining with Oxford Entrepreneurs and the Oxford Launchpad to bring both university networks together. Her real passion is towards focusing on women in enterprise.
3 out of 25 people are women in engineering, and less women pursue or engage in a entrepreneurial career path.
The conference is created to provide key skills in self-development and advice for motivating students and individuals.
Speakers would address issues in the workplace and the process of working towards a profession. They will cover how they solve issues, whether social or work-related.
Workshops will be provided in areas of Engineering as well as programming, and leadership.
Mission:
Samantha's intentions are to open this event to all of Oxfordshire. This event is set to establish a female network of strong and motivated women use the knowledge and skills from this event and use them to their advantage at university, and on!
