New Volunteer Opportunity - Girls into STEM Day

''We are proceeding with our Girls into STEM day on June 23^rd and we are inviting year 8, 9 and 10 girls from many schools to attend and engage in hand-on STEM activities.

 

We are looking for a female inspirational speaker, to give a 15-20 min talk ( twice ) – to inspire women to take STEM subjects and to move into successful careers in STEM.

 

It would be exceptionally helpful if you were able to identify such a speaker. We are in Cambridge, just by the A14 – postcode CB4 2QT''

 

 

PROGRAMME

9.15                        SCHOOLS ARRIVE

9.30                        WELCOME + INTRODUCTION TO THE DAY (Paul and/or John)

9.45                        MOVE INTO RELEVANT WORKSHOPS

10.00 – 11.15           WORKSHOP 1
11.15 – 12.15           ROTA OF TOUR and INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER (TBC) (2 GROUPS)

12.15 – 12.45          LUNCH

12.45 – 14.00          WORKSHOP 2

14.00 - 14.15          CLOSE, CERTIFICATES, EVALUATION, GOODIE BAGS

14.15                     SCHOOLS LEAVE
