  • Hi everyone,

I recently started a PhD in Automotive Cybersecurity at Coventry University. I am interested in the effect of enterprise processes on the cybersecurity of the products and services delivered to customers. My research focusses on connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs). I am interested particularly in how collaborating organisations can establish the conditions necessary for creating, maintaining, and retiring secure CAV technology. I am exploring model-based methods for developing high-integrity vehicle systems and the application of formal methods at enterprise level for the assurance of development processes. My goal is to demonstrate how CAVs can be made more secure by applying rigorous engineering practices to multi-organisational business systems. For furhter information see https://pureportal.coventry.ac.uk/en/persons/stephen-john-powley.

In the IET I volunteer with the ARTS (Automotive and Road Transport Systems) TPN Executive committee and as Schools Liaison Officer for Derbyshire.

I am very interested in talking to anyone involved in developing and operating high-integrity systems who has views on cybersecurity.

    Best regards,

    Stephen
