My name is Ian, I am a design engineer for non-standard equipment, although, in fact, I would characterize my experience as a “Wide-range Maitanance Engineer”. I participated in a large number of diverse projects, from the development of methods for interlaboratory comparison testing using destructive testing methods to the design and commissioning of a pet food line. At the moment I am engaged in the translation of mechanical production on CNC machines.
Prior to my current assignment, I headed a HV testing laboratory for testing HV glass and polymer insulators. My achievement is the development of a glass insulator with a reduced level of radio interference and an aging indicator for polymer insulators.
I have a Bachelor's degree in electronics and Engineering specialist diploma. I graduated from South-Ural State Univercity.
I joined IET in order to become part of an engineering team in which I could develop myself, gain experience and transfer it ad my knowledge to others. I believe that this step will be able to determine vector of my future development as an engineer.
