Hello! I look forward to meeting you all.

Hi everyone,

I have just joined this community and wanted to say hello! I am a chartered MEICA (mechanical electrical instrumentation control automation) flood defense engineer in charge of all MEICA assets for the environment agency in Devon and Cornwall.

What does everyone else do?

kind regards

Mike

Hi Mike,  I'm Bevan, it's a pleasure to make your aquintence. I've been in here since Oct 2019 and back in Cornwall since April that year. Amongst other things, I was involved with the planning of the quarry expansion in Launcester very early on before the dreaded virus locked us down in 2020. That winter, the tamar river was quite full at that time, as I am sure it is in winter. I have had experience with checking storm water drainage estimates in the Middle East around a new refinery against the available project meteorological data back in 2014. The volumes seemed high until we experienced a monsoon later in 2015.

Anyhow, nice to chat and have a good weekend Mike.
