A call out for support from members in the South Yorkshire area

Amongst my IET volunteering activities, I currently represent the IET SYLN on the South Yorkshire Joint PEI committee.
This committee comprises the - IET / IMechE / ICE / IChemE /IStructE & the SMEA who are affiliated to the IOM3.
Following a recent meeting with the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) we were invited to sit on the South Yorkshire LSIP 'Skills Accelerator Board' (SAB) one of several nationwide trailblazers looking at skill shortages by employer's pre and post pandemic.
The SAB comprises all the SY Chambers of commerce and a cross section of training Providers and is being led by the Doncaster chamber.
Cutting through lots of the initial detail,  we are currently looking for employers who may be willing to support this initiative.
As the JPEI representative on the SAB committee, can I please ask for support by members asking their employer if this is something they may be willing to engage in.
The SAB have engaged a locally based research company to undertake the first phase on the work the culmination of which will be a report back to the DfE on how this committee wish to proceed and then ask for some funding from them. going forward.
Any engagement will be relatively straightforward and comprise a simple questionnaire in which employers can express their range of concerns with skills such as reskilling, upskilling and needing new skills covering the emerging & growth of new technologies.
I would be extremely grateful for any support with this request and should you need any further clarifications or information, please feel free to contact me on - Alan.Chater@ietvolunteer.org
I've also attached a link below which your employer may also be interested in.
On Tuesday 18 th January South Yorkshire Chambers are hosting an interactive workshop for employers to tell us what support you need to develop in your workforce for your company’s future growth and development.. We want to know about what works, what barriers you face and your thoughts that could make all the difference to your business. Your feedback will help us deliver:
