Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) guidelines on proper installation

Am currently working for an Energy Utility. I need guidelines on installation techniques used in installation of Optical Ground Wire. 

What is of interest to me is a good method of replacing shield wire/line earthing wire with an equivalent/appropriate OPGW. I am more interested in the techniques used in making sure a replacement OPGW cable suits the original shield wire Electrical Properties.

Moreover, is there anyone with good installation methods used for OPGW cable.
