Odd Residues...

Morning All,

Does anyone have an opinion on what the red residue may be and what effect if any it would have on the board?

  • There is another possibility that if it is leaking not from within the boxes, then I suppose it just  may be that it was added as a splat of anti-vibration 'glue' (or perhaps 'goo' would be a better name) between the transformers and the board, to stiffen things up for transport or even to assist during assembly, by taking the transformer weight off the solder joints between transformer pins and PCB, but not to do that while on the level and not even to wipe up afterwards  would be quite  unprofessional, so I suspect post installation leakage.
