I'm looking at a fire safety certificate (Aico template) for a recently inspected property with fire alarms at BS5839-6(2019) category level LD2 and Grade F1 for the system, but if I read the various articles on the standards correctly, the F1 level doesn't include the requirement that the alarms be interlinked.
It feels as if the new Scottish home fire regulations will be most commonly served by the life-time battery powered RF connected alarms, and that there isn't a code for the alarm certificates.
Am I reading the BS correctly? And should the (Scottish) fire certificates should include the extra details that the alarms are not only F1 grade, but also include interlinking, and the system (qty) is covering the LD2 areas?
Likely to be needed for most house/flat sales in Scotland.
