IET Image Processing

Editorial Board Vacancies

IET Image Processing has seen a steady and substantial increase in the number of submissions in recent years. In line with this expansion, the journal now seeks to expand its Editorial Board through the recruitment of additional Associate Editors (AEs) to enhance its services to its authors and readers.

The role of AE involves interactions with authors, reviewers and the editorial team to ensure the timely communication of important new knowledge for the benefit of society. For AEs, it is a valuable means of keeping in touch with emerging research ideas and aiding the process of producing high-quality publications.

IET Image Processing seeks new AEs with research interests spanning the entire scope of the journal. In particular, we are looking for individuals with expertise in the areas of:

  • image watermarking
  • image encryption
  • image super resolution
  • 3D and stereo image processing
  • crack detection
  • pose estimation
  • gesture recognition

Applicants should have at least five years' experience post PhD and should hold an Associate Professor or equivalent industrial position. Requirements also include a proven track record in image processing publications with a high citation index. We aim that the Board should be as diverse as possible in terms of gender, nationality, and other characteristics to best serve our authors and readers worldwide.

To maintain the highest editorial standards and ensure our Editorial Board is up to date with the latest scientific advances, we review its members quarterly, and welcome new nominations in June, September, December, and March of each year. Nominations will be reviewed at the end of each quarter and invitations to join the Editorial Board will be made within a few weeks of the close of each period.

If you are interested in helping IET Image Processing in its mission by becoming an AE, or to find out more about this role, please contact Alexandria Lipka (alipka@theiet.org), providing information regarding your background, motivation and experience. We look forward to hearing from you.
