EV point RCD

Where an EV charger contains the required 30mA  AC  and 6 mA DC protection within the actual charger as many manufacturers now produce what type of device is used and how is it reset by the user. The models I have looked into do not appear to have a readily accessible reset or test button as would an RCD installed in a distribution board.

    The charger just refuses to connect, or disconnects if connected, if the self-test for DC leakage fails. There is nothing to reset as it is not an RCD in that sense, just a detector.

    If you live somewhere near an electric railway line it could be that some stray DC current is tripping your sensor.
