  • That looks more like an ordinary socket to me than an EVCP.

  • I had the same thought, a 13-amp socket supplied by cable running through the flower bed and up the wall of someone else's flat.

  • A 13 amp socket should be fine in practice. Charging probably limited to about 2 kw, or say 20 to 25 kwh overnight. Unless the vehicle sees unusualy heavy use, EVERY DAY that will keep the battery charged.

  • Just because something works doesn’t mean it’s okay.

  • Methinks plenty of Caravans and Motorhomes are charged from Bog standard 13A sockets and long extension leads so Electric Vehicles are the next logical step to the mind of many folk "committing DIY"
