Its a certainty that all aspects of engineering needs progressive innovation (whether Incremental or Disruptive Innovation). Without innovation, Technology becomes dormant and will definitely fade.
The context of Innovation flows the same path as Research and Development.
Threading the path of Research and Development will give us the confidence to view the context of Engineering Sustainability. In other to reserve, conserve and maintain our natural environment and also the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, we must view deeply into Research and Development of all aspects of Technology and Engineering.
I stand to be argued: that 99+1% of Technology systems exist on a substantial defect and compromise of our natural environment. But we can harness the power of RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT to propose and implement innovations that aid and support SUSTAINABLE ENGINEERING.
