IET Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation academy course

After the obvious electrical courses, is the IET Electric Vehicle charging equipment installation academy course sufficient to install EVSE, or is the City and guilds course required?

    "The IET Academy course Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation to BS7671: 2018 AMD 1 covers the following:

     

    • How to specify Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installations
    • How to design electrical installations containing electric vehicle charging and supply equipment
    • The steps involved in planning, installing and commissioning of electric vehicle charging points
    • Key risks and hazards for various types of installation, and how to address them, including: Dwellings, Commercial and Industrial premises, On-Street installations, and filling stations

     

    The course is 25 CPD hours and our content partner is Graham Kenyon, from G Technology Ltd.  Graham is the author of the 4th Edition of the IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Installations, co-author of the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems, and editor of some of the IET’s Wiring Regulations publications.

     

    At the end of the Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation to BS7671: 2018 AMD 1 online Academy course, learners will be able to take the practical assessment and exam for the C&G 2919 qualification.
