Seeking for some advice on mono silicon reclamation process?
Given the element makes up over 25% of the earths crust, and is very cheap, why would we ?
Mike
Practicing sustainability would be good even though we have the element abundantly.
At Motorola we had a facility in East Kilbride and a take-back policy for Power transistors ... they could contain Berlyium for example which can be toxic .. I'd understood it was a zone refining process to recover impurities and the process can be repeated to produce high purity semiconductor - grade wafers.
Thank you for sharing. Any idea how they inspect the purity of the semiconductor - grade wafers? Any special tools?
