Impact of AI on UK Labour market - why only Civils mentioned?

What happened about all of the other engineering sectors, beyond Civils, when the UK Government published this piece of analysis for use in considering future training needs?

  •  They are mentioned in the analysis, but not in the report because only civil engineers come into the "top 20" impacted:

"Education level" SOC Description "All AI" "LLM" "Ranked AI" "Ranked LLM"
    Level 4 2121 Civil engineers 1.36 1.02 13 76
    Level 4 2126 Design and development engineers 1.18 0.98 50 85
    Level 4 2461 Quality control and planning engineers 1.13 0.90 60 98
    Level 4 2127 Production and process engineers 1.07 0.81 74 109
    Level 4 2122 Mechanical engineers 0.96 0.66 95 129
    Level 4 2124 Electronics engineers 0.81 0.57 117 140
    Level 4 2123 Electrical engineers 0.81 0.61 118 136

So Civils are ranked number 13th for impact of AI out of all professions, whereas electronic and electrical are ranked 117th and 118th.

Whether this is correct, and if so why, is of course a whole other set of questions!

I think it's a well intentioned report, jobs will change and ideally it will be good if education and training can at least keep up with those changes, and I think that's really all this concluding (which is hardly earth shattering!) The next report to say how education and training should change will be a much trickier beast. Crystal balls are tricky beasts - I'm of the age when it was being suggested that learning binary was going to be a key skill for everybody because of the future development of computers...
