Hi! Will it be possible to do mentoring being a Career Mentor volunteer outside the UK territory? I am currently in my country Philippines and thinking of taking the ooppurtunity of my stay for a while then. Our electrical code is alligned with NEC/NFPA an

The scope of the technical topics more likely is on Electrical Installations and Maintenance. Also relevant are topics  on electrical wiring design and testing

for domestic, commerical and light industrial facility or structure setting.

  • I cannot answer your question, but I suspect that those who can will need more detail to do so as it is not clear what you are asking.

If I understand it, (and that may not be the case), you are normally in the Philippines (220V 60Hz but modified US wiring style), but are moving temporarily to a UK territory (which one ?)   and you would like to be the career mentor for someone doing inspection and testing of wiring ?

This then depends  on what form the mentoring takes, perhaps how much is technical, if the local regs and practice are different to your familiar, and how much is actually more about the career planning.

This latter  is more general but still requires knowledge of the qualifications and experience likely to be needed for a given role, and the local regulatory regime in the sense of who is allowed to do what with which qualification or approvals.

Is this for example, something you already do or have done elsewhere ?

If you could expand a bit more on your situation and  what you have in mind, a clearer answer may be possible

    best regards

    Mike.
