having had a look at the spec on the  B6 M.C.B. it has a rating of 6 amps and our STP - 2.0 b has a rating of 5 amps. on that basis we cant see a reason why it wouldn't work

 

We would advise you to speak to the provider of the part to clarify

This morning I fitted a replacement shower hose to a twenty year old Jacuzzi bath that pulls out from under the bath, when I tried ordering the hose on a Tuesday I started with an internet search and some calls to merchants, then I had a trip to a national plumbing merchants who assured me they had one in stock when I described it to them, 1/2” cone to 3/8” nut, but when I got there said they had never seen one like it before.

I then phoned the shower spares firm in Edinburgh who told me to phone the one in Redditch and wished me good luck, I phoned the one in Redditch and they told me to phone the one in Edinburgh and wished me good luck.

So I went back to the internet and tracked one down which arrived in the post yesterday, it is damaged the chrome has been partially stripped from the cone, it looks like it was dropped on the floor then a heavy bag of mail dragged it along on the floor ripping through the two plastic bags it was in and damaging the chrome.

Having spent several hours getting it I decided enough was enough and fitted it as it is though really I should be having an argument with either the supplier or Royal Mail. 

I don’t know if you have to be brave or foolish to get involved with showers, they never seem to be as simple as they should be.

A guy I know who came to Elex one year with me and met some of you fitted a shower for a customer, the customer had had a quote off a plumber which specified this particular shower, so when this guy took the job the customer told him that this was the shower she wanted. So he bought and fitted it, then when it didn’t work as expected the customer refused to pay for it telling him that he should have told her it was the wrong shower.


Fitting and repairing showers just doesn’t seem worth the effort at times for what the customers want to pay if you really need to alter the pipework on top of the cylinder and run a new cold feed from the tank to get the shower pump to do what it’s supposed to.
