Not good...fire safety issues on new build homes

                           how are you? I expect that you have been very busy with work.


    That report is scary. One fire was started by a discarded cigarette. That is a dangerous thing, that smoking.


    I must remember to take my little bag of sand and cement mix with me to all jobs, and my small bags of Polyfilla and plaster to properly make good where I bash through for cable runs.


    Modern houses seem to be "thrown together" these days with little care shown to hidden details. I came across a new house recently where a double plate light switch had unsheathed singles entering a hole in its metal box with no grommets and very rough metal edges. Sloppy to say the least.
