Whilst there`s no specific requirement for a test there is a requirement that the property mus be safe, including electrically safe.
A high up in one of the national landlords associations remarked to me "how else could I prove electrical safety without a PIR (EICR)?".
He has a few of his own rental properties and always gets them tested religiously.
