MK BOGIC

Is it just me or is MK Logic stuff just rubbish? - I know their light switches certainly are.

I have 4 x fused spurs to do. Change 4 x 13A fuses for 3A ones.

A simple job you'd think?

Not on your nelly - unscrew the fuseholder cover screw - a worm gear arrangement or so I thought.

Unscrew! Unscrew! Unscrew! And the damned fuseholder will not come all the way out, so a quick flick with the terminal driver and all will be well?

One click and it comes fully out - Bingo! (No! I didn't break any plastic)

Swap out fuse and wind screw back in? Not an effin chance. I screwed and sweated and pushed to no avail.

What to do? I know, chuck em and swap out for Contactum - works every time.

So, scrap 4 x very expensive use-once-only MK Logic fused spurs.

Anyone else had similar experiences?

  • Hello William.

MK's FCU fuse holder is trapped deliberately so that it won't come out and fall on the floor.  Unscrew it until it travels out about 15mm and stops and the fuse should be easily accessible..The idea is to avoid dropping the fuseholder and watch it disappear behind a kitchen unit or fridge.  Check out the three you have left on the bench and you will get the idea. Don't throw them away, they are good accessories.
