Is it just me or is MK Logic stuff just rubbish? - I know their light switches certainly are.

I have 4 x fused spurs to do. Change 4 x 13A fuses for 3A ones.

A simple job you'd think?

Not on your nelly - unscrew the fuseholder cover screw - a worm gear arrangement or so I thought.

Unscrew! Unscrew! Unscrew! And the damned fuseholder will not come all the way out, so a quick flick with the terminal driver and all will be well?

One click and it comes fully out - Bingo! (No! I didn't break any plastic)

Swap out fuse and wind screw back in? Not an effin chance. I screwed and sweated and pushed to no avail.

What to do? I know, chuck em and swap out for Contactum - works every time.

So, scrap 4 x very expensive use-once-only MK Logic fused spurs.

Anyone else had similar experiences?

    Hello Colin,

    That's the thing, the fuseholder would not wind out far enough to remove the fuse. You cannot remove it completely unless you break it, which I was careful not to do.

    And now the damned thing will not wind back in, thus rendering the items useless.

    All 4 are exactly thew same. I tried to push down slightly in order to get the worm gear/screw to re-engage but no joy whatsoever.

    Contactum FCU fuse holders do not come all the way out either but they are a straight forward flick out/click back in job. Simple.
