Hello,
I spent so long sitting in training courses last week that I fear my bottom has changed and is now chair-shaped.
First I became a STEM ambassador (proud) which involves child safety etc. and making a tower out of 8 sticks of spaghetti and three marshmallows.
Then, a day on electrical safety for High Voltage and Pulsed Power. Useful but not rocket science.
Then, I went to the NAPIT expo which covered Surge protection, the 18th ed and Vehicle charging.
The latter is absolutely superb. Quite the best education I have been on the receiving end of for ages. From my point of view the surge protection part of it gets the biscuit and runs us through a risk assessment calculation in full also discussing the how's and whys. I'm not into vehicle charging but without a doubt the vehicle charging information was better than any I've sat in on so far. I'm no longer a registered electrician so I'm not deliberately flying the NAPIT flag or anything. Get yourself a booking for the next one if you are interested in SPDs or EV charging. You will not be wasting your time.
