A customer of mine asked me to install a new time switch to turn on his heated bathroom towel rail in the morning via its internal electric heating element. The towel rail is a big beast, about floor to ceiling in height and rated electrically at 900 Watts. It is also plumbed into the gas central heating system but has a separate electrical heating element as well. I was wondering if the thing could:
1. Overheat and the element be damaged if both systems are heating it?
2. Be thermostatically controlled by its own internal element. We have no paperwork.
