Save the Planet by Switching Off Electric Lights.

Let's all use candles. Here is some footage of people cheering as lights are switched off at famous locations around the world. Let's hope that they have working electric lights when they return to their homes to use their computers or watch t.v., or cook food.

  • When II were a lad, things were not floodlit and street lamps went off overnight. Perhaps that was because there was lower generating capacity, or perhaps it was considered wasteful. Nowadays in UK, it is hard to find anywhere which is truly dark at night. Frowning2


    Any road, I do my bit by turning off all the lights which Mrs P leaves on in unoccupied rooms.
