More About a Potential Forced Electrical Appliance Recall. Faulty Tumble Dryers.

  • One of the problems here is... people do not clean out the filters, (if they are fitted). I have seen it several times now where I took the filter out and some were FULL of fibres... just clean them out! Stay safe!
  • If a tumble drier relies on the end user doing active maintenance to stop it setting on fire, then its got a design flaw.
  • Which have been on the case as well reporting that the Whirlpool company have been getting the owners of modified machines to sign Non Disclosure Agreements.

An interesting experiment might be to place one  of these faulty machines in a newly built average starter home to see how well modern building technology and design is able to cope with delinquent appliance technology.

    Legh
  • The more safety we put into things the more society relies on it and becomes less careful I`m afraid. In my younger days we had less H & S but I think we took more care wheras nowadays folk do not give a castlemain 4 X and blame everything on everyone else.

Standards of life change, not all for the better I`m afraid (Driving standards and abillity to do simple sums in your head are just two examples) .

PS when I mention driving standards I mean the standard of peoples actual driving habits not the official driving standards that should be observed.

Oh heck, I am becomming Victor Meldrew!
