Engineer Electrocuted at Work.

This is about Andy Meade 55, who was electrocuted at work due to a dangerous machine. He was not found for over an hour after he collapsed. This is a tragic story. I am sorry if I am repeating it, but I have not seen it reported on this forum yet.

  • I received an email from the IET today asking me whether or not my forum question had been answered. I really am not sure whether or not I had asked a question, so I went on a search for this question.

Found all sorts of other things such as opinions, statements but no question. However, I fell upon this tragic post. My first thought was why hadn't anybody from this forum responded, then maybe some of it is still in its investigation stages and so be in part covered by the rules of subdudicy. Tragic for Andy's wife may she find comfort in this time of grief.

  • I didn't really feel that I had much constructive to say. However, whilst the thought of somebody's death being unnoticed for an hour is somewhat distressing, earlier intervention or discovery would have made no difference.

My other thought concerned safe isolation. Frowning2
