Reg 443.4

Further to debates with others elsewhere, in reg 443.4, what is your interpretation of 'single dwelling units', and how your interpretation will relate to the installation of SPDs therein (in the context of the statement that all domestic installation require SPDs)?

Thanks

  • It's not true that all domestic dwellings require SPDs. They only require them if the technical risk assessment says so (i.e. rural/suburban, with lots of OH supply length, in an area with high strikes per km2) and if the low-equipment-cost single-dwelling exemption doesn't apply.
