I’m lined up to have the mickey taken out of me!

Around 3.45 pm I am lined up to be on Fix Radio after my comments yesterday when electricians were accused sites to be cleared up before they will start work.

  • Shall be listening in Andy... ?
  • Well, that didn’t happen!

The radio presenter phoned me on a standard landline number and decided I was relatively safe to fill a few minutes on his show, but when they tried to call me on the unlisted studio short code phone number my phone rejected it several times without me being to answer it.

So I managed to get half a dozen name checks, then it fizzled out to nothing.

The gist of it was that yesterday he said electricians were too demanding expecting sites to be tidied up ready for them to start work.

Early Friday evenings they have scheduled Thomas Nagy to do a weekly radio show for electricians, so we will see what he has to say then.

  • Let's hope he avoids too much F and B for sensitive listeners then.

I'd suggest that like digging trenches, site prep, moving furniture, we can do it, or bring the lad along to help, but you can save the extra cost at XYZ per hour of that other body or the longer job,  by getting it done in advance.

Same as hiring in a plaster and or painter to cover over anything visible on show - my work looks like porridge so  I'd have to call one in, or you can.

Mind you as a caveat,  I do not get involved in domestic that is not my own or good friends (or scouts) these days, but it still would be my starting point.
