If you wish to check out the current state of the part p mess and the plethora of confusing scams and rackets on offer I recommend sparkyninja's youtube channel. He has a 4 part summary of govt meetings with the scam providers, none of whom can agree with each other. The series is titled

'
The problem with the UK Electrical VOLUNTARY bodies

I particularly laughed at the stage in one of the meetings with the govt minister where the certsure/nic lady (Emma somebody) said she was sure that 90% of electrical work in the UK was carried out by 80% of registered contractors. How could she ever know of 100% of the work carried out daily in order to make a valid comparison?

I'm glad I stayed out of the part p nonsense since day one.
